Call for Deaf media artists: Digital Media Art / Video Installation Exhibition at the Dyer Arts Center 

This exhibition will open on March 6, 2020 and close on April 18, 2020 to coordinate with the Deaf Rochester Film Festival. The exhibition's reception will be during DRFF's opening ceremony on Tuesday, April 14, 2020. Please read the criteria below before submitting your work.

The Dyer Arts Center is collaborating with Deaf Rochester Film Festival on an exhibition featuring digital media art.   Artists must be Deaf or Hard of Hearing.  Digital Media art is a broad category including video art, motion graphics, sound art, experimental video, GIF, animation and more.   You may submit up to two submissions.  If you have questions about this exhibition or this submission form, please email us at dyerartscenter@gmail.com.

You may submit up to two works.

REQUIREMENTS:

You must be deaf / hard of hearing. 

ACCEPTED MEDIA: 

​

Motion graphics, moving digital art, animation, experimental film (including non-narrative), GIFs, and more (anything moving!). 

PHOTOGRAPHY:

The Dyer Arts Center may use images of submitted work to publicize and promote the exhibition. 

REQUIRED INFORMATION:

You must fill out the Artwork Submission Form. There are no submission fees. Include name of artist, mailing address, telephone/VP and email address, title of work, date created and media type.

SELECTION PROCESS:

DRFF Team and Dyer Arts Center Team will be reviewing submissions. 

SHIPPING: 

​

Works must be submitted digitally.
